R/C vehicles are grouped into 2 categories – the most common and popular are known as ‘Toy Grade RC systems‘ which are usually toys made for children and have simplified circuits that are not designed to be taken apart or fine-tuned.  The second category is classed as ‘Hobby Grade RC‘ which allows for greater fine tuning of the components and a modular design that allows parts from one vehicle to be taken out and used in another – aimed at the RC hobby enthusiasts.
